Paris, France

Chemosensory Innovation
We are delighted to host ECRO2026 in France, returning to the organization’s birthplace in Paris, where ECRO began its journey in 1970. Founded to foster and coordinate research in chemoreception, ECRO has been instrumental in forging collaborations, nurturing emerging talent, and driving scientific progress internationally. In 2026, we highlight the theme of chemosensory innovation, with a focus on building connections across disciplines, sensory modalities, and creative approaches. Join us in Paris for a vibrant scientific event featuring an eclectic program, distinguished speakers, and plentiful opportunities to exchange ideas and build new collaborations.

Conference venue, public transportation and hotel guidance

Conference Venue:

Centre de Recherche des Cordeliers (CRC) - INSERM - Sorbonne Université - Université Paris Cité

15 Rue de l'École de Médecine, 75006 Paris

Metro Station: Odeon

Public Transportation:

To travel within Paris, you can use the metro, RER, bus and tramway networks. Tickets can be purchased online with the Navigo app or at the stations using dedicated transport cards (available at metro, RER, and train stations).

If you are arriving by train, you will need a Metro-train-RER ticket (€2.55 per journey) or a Bus-Tram ticket (€2.05 per journey). If you are arriving by plane, you will need a Paris Region ↔ Airports ticket (€14 per journey).

Please be aware that if you use the transport card you will need to buy one card specifically for the Paris Region ↔ Airports ticket and another one for the Metro-train-RER tickets. Click here for more details on which tickets can be combined on a single card.

Hotel Guidance:

Hotels in Paris change their prices from one week to the next and do not need a deal to fill their rooms. Therefore, the organization committee prefers to share its knowledge of the city with you, focusing on neighborhoods that are less than 25 minutes from the meeting location. There are good restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and bakeries everywhere in Paris, including in residential areas. We are sure you will find your place, but please let us know if you have any concerns about your booking.

Information regarding sponsorship of our event can be found here.
