Call for Symposia - ECRO 2019 Annual Meeting

The organizers of the 29th Congress of the European Chemoreception Research Organization (ECRO) welcome proposals for symposia on topics of special interest in the chemical senses.

Symposia represent the major forum for oral presentations communicating the latest developments in areas of significance to the broader chemical senses community. They also introduce new ideas and areas of expertise to the membership. Up to 11 symposia will be selected for inclusion into the meeting program, depending on the quality of the submitted proposals.

Successful symposia will: (1) focus on exciting, newly-emerging areas, (2) address scientific topics of broad, current interest, and (3) are geographically balanced, and consider different career stages and gender equality of the speakers. Symposia are not intended to showcase the work of individual laboratories.

The deadline for submission of symposia proposals is February 28, 2019.

Symposia will be 120 min in length. They include a chair person and can have 4 speakers or 3 main speakers and two short presentations. Participation of junior faculty is encouraged. There should be only one scientist speaking per laboratory.

The participation of all speakers must be confirmed prior to the submission of the proposal.
